PEST MANAGEMENT REPORT

NEWS ABOUT INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT IN GLASSCOCK, REAGAN AND UPTON COUNTIES


 

GENERAL SITUATION

Soil moisture looks better than it has in a while this time of year. Some pre-irrigation is in progress while others are waiting.

CONSERVATION TILLAGE
FIELD DAY

When: Wednesday March 26th
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
(Meal will be served)

Where: Mitchell Jansa Farm

Dr. Dan Krieg and Charles Stichler will be discussing Conservation Tillage, Cotton Fertility and how it affects quality, weed control, etc...

We will also tour tillage plots and demonstrate equipment.

RESULT DEMONSTRATION AND
APPLIED RESEARCH

We are planning and initiating several plots for this season including: varieties (irrigated and dryland), weed control, phosphorous fertility, salinity management, conservation tillage, plant growth regulators, foliar fertility, etc....

If you have ideas or suggestions on different test let me know.
